Ban Appeals
Modular system. When enabled for a server, banned users automatically receive a DM containing a "Click to Appeal" button that opens a customizable web form (Discord OAuth + verified ban check). You can define custom questions per server. Staff notifications can still go to a Discord channel.
Setup
Configure via the dashboard at Dashboard → Ban Appeals, or with the command:
/appealsetup channel: #ban-appeals [enabled:] true [cooldown_hours:] 24| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| channel | — | Channel where appeal submissions are posted for staff review. |
| enabled | true | Whether appeal submissions are accepted. |
| cooldown_hours | 24h | How long a user must wait between appeal submissions (1–720 hours). |
How the appeal flow works
- A banned user DMs the bot and receives a prompt to submit an appeal.
- They fill out a modal with their reason for appealing.
- The submission appears as a card in the configured channel.
- Staff click Approve or Deny. Approving the appeal automatically unbans the user and DMs them the result.
- The user is DM'd the outcome either way.
Cooldown
Once a user submits an appeal, they cannot submit another until the cooldown expires. This applies whether the appeal was approved, denied, or is still pending. Configure cooldown_hours to match how often you want to hear from them.
ℹ The bot must share a server with the banned user — Discord only allows DMs to mutual-server members. Ensure the bot stays in the server after banning.
